The pop-up, located in Hammersmith, London, opened on Friday, November 25 and will shut its doors on Thursday, December 1. I paid the pub a visit on its opening night to see what it’s like.
To get a ticket, you have to sign up on Eventbrite. All the slots were booked up well in advance of the pub opening. There are still some slots available for walk-ins, though.

The pub was busy when I visited.
The pop-up was launched to celebrate the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Screens across the room were playing the England v. USA soccer match, and there were flags dotted around.
Almost everything was chicken-themed, from the decorations behind the bar …
… and around the pub …
The pub even had a table soccer game that used the gold and black chicken drumstick-shaped pieces instead of soccer players.
There were also KFC cushions …
… and framed photos of the Colonel.
The pub had a standard bar menu, with a handful of beers, spirits, wines, and soft drinks. None had been specially formulated for the KFC pub, sadly, meaning we couldn’t sip on fried chicken flavor beer.
You could get food delivered to your table, too. My friend got four pieces of KFC’s Original Recipe Chicken, which came with a pot of gravy to dip them in.
I picked the veggie option, which turned out to be one of the chain’s veggie burgers. It contained a Quorn vegan chicken fillet coated in KFC’s famous mix of 11 herbs and spices, which made it pretty much indistinguishable from KFC’s regular chicken.

The were tiny tubs of popcorn chicken at the bar, too.
The pub’s decor was lighthearted and playful, with chicken or the Colonel permeating nearly every aspect of its design.
If you didn’t want to watch the match, there was a retro-style arcade machine …
… as well as a dartboard complete with images of the Colonel on the darts.
The female restrooms were labeled as “hens” …
… and had ample opportunities for taking KFC-themed selfies.
QR codes dotted around the room took visitors to the download page for KFC’s delivery app …
