Abdullah is an actor and activist who rose to international fame after his role in the 2006 Oscar-nominated and BAFTA-winning film United 93, directed by Paul Greengrass. The film chronicles the events of United Airlines Flight 93, which was hijacked as part of the September 11 attacks. Khaled Abdullah plays the role of pilot Ziad Jarrah.
He starred in the movie “The Kite Runner” and participated with Matt Damon in the movie “Green Zone,” his second movie with director Paul Greengrass.
In the film “The Square”, Khaled Abdullah appears as himself in director Jihan Noujaim’s documentary about the Egyptian Revolution in 2011, which won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013.
In 2022 and 2023, he starred as Dodi Fayed in the fifth and sixth seasons of the historical drama series The Crown, for which he received a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at Critics’ Choice Awards.
