Kim Yoo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, has lashed out at the South Korean army for closely tracking her country’s military parade believed to be held in Pyongyang to celebrate a rare ruling party conference.
The strong brotherly criticism of the North Korean leader came after military officials in Seoul revealed signs indicating that North Korea had staged a military parade in central Pyongyang on Sunday night, coinciding with the eighth conference of the ruling Workers’ Party.
“It is surprising that the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff issued a meaningless statement that they had spotted the North’s military parade in the middle of the night of the tenth of January and that they are in the middle of the careful tracking process,” North Korea’s Central News Agency quoted Kim Yoo Jong today, Wednesday.
She added, “They are the most idiots and top the world list in misbehavior because they are only keen on things that make the world laugh.”
Yonhap reported that Kim may have been demoted to “deputy director” of the Workers’ Party Central Committee from her previous position as first deputy director of the department, given how she was referred to in a recent statement.
In a previous session of the party convention, she was also not listed as a member or as an alternate member of the party’s political bureau.
