The previous Minnesota law enforcement officer who fatally shot Daunte Wright, a Black man she pulled over in a website traffic-quit-turned-arrest, is set to be introduced from prison Monday soon after she served 16 months of a two-yr sentence.
Kim Potter, who yelled “Taser” when she claimed she mistook her gun for a stunning system, was convicted of manslaughter in the April 2021 shooting in Hennepin County. Minnesota Division of Corrections information display her predicted release date is April 24.
“Our prison investigative analysts are working intently with regulation enforcement to check the problem to make sure Kim Potter, like all incarcerated folks, is protected as she leaves our facility,” spokesperson Andy Skoogman stated in a assertion.

Wright’s loved ones criticized Potter’s sentence

Judge said Potter was ‘a cop who created a tragic mistake’
