The Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II, criticized Israel for not providing vaccines against the Coronavirus to the Palestinians, coinciding with reports of Tel Aviv’s intention to deliver 1,000 vaccines to Palestinian medical teams.
On Thursday, King Abdullah said, during a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, that the Israelis cannot be safe from the virus without vaccinating the Palestinians.
He continued: “The Israelis have achieved great success in using the vaccine (for them), but not for the Palestinians.” You will be safe. “
The Palestinian Authority has signed four contracts to purchase vaccines, including the Russian “Sputnik-V” vaccine, to vaccinate 70% of the population of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, to be received by mid-March.

On January 11, the Palestine Liberation Organization called on “the international community to urge Israel, as an occupying power, to respect its obligations under international law and to provide vaccines.”
The Hebrew “Walla” website reported, on Thursday evening, that Israel will deliver 1,000 vaccines to the medical teams in the Palestinian Authority.
This came after Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz went to the Ministry of Health and the National Security Council to examine the possibility of gradually transferring quantities of the Corona vaccine to the Palestinian Authority in order to vaccinate medical personnel, with the aim of preventing the collapse of the health system.
The site added that the delivery of the vaccines comes after Palestinian officials requested an urgent transfer from the Israeli government coordinator, Kamil Abu Rukn.
