King Charles has been seen for the first time in public since Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Netflix trailer was released, as he attended a church service today.
The Monarch looked pensive as he walked to church on the Royal Sandringham estate in Norfolk, accompanied by a friend.
The King, who was wearing a long brown overcoat and smart brown shoes, made the short walk to St Mary Magdalene Church for the 11am service.
He was greeted outside the church by the Reverend Canon Paul Williams and they shook hands before Charles headed inside.
As he left Charles was cheered up by a member of the public shouting: ‘God Save the King’ and he smiled and waved.

It comes days after Netflix released the trailer for ‘Harry & Meghan’, the tell-all show about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Charles has kept a low profile since a trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary was released on Thursday.
The six-part series is expected to give a glimpse into their high profile relationship and their account of royal life.
The minute-long trailer shows a number of previously unseen photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, including one of Meghan crying.
This week has also seen a royal race row about comments made to a black guest at Buckingham Palace.

Prince William’s godmother Lady Susan Hussey stood down from her honorary duties for the Royal Family on Wednesday, after Ngozi Fulani, founder of the charity Sistah Space, described how she had been repeatedly asked where she ‘really’ came from at a Buckingham Palace reception.
Charles is believed to have travelled to Sandringham on Thursday, accompanied by the Queen Consort, Camilla, who was not seen at church today. It is not known how long they will be staying at their country estate.
The Monarch is expected to follow in the Queen’s footsteps by spending Christmas at the estate this year with other members of the Royal family.
