Strategic Policy Coordinator at the US National Security Council, John Kirby, said that the United States is concerned about the expansion of the war that Israel has been waging on the Gaza Strip for 22 days.
He added during television statements that his country sent additional naval vessels to the Eastern Mediterranean, reaching the Gulf region, strengthened its air and missile defenses, and sent squadrons of aircraft to the region. He said, “Washington also sent public and non-public messages to Iran and to “terrorist” parties such as Hezbollah, stating that America does not want any escalation in the conflict and expansion of its scope.” He stressed that Washington is indeed concerned about the expansion of the scope of the war.
