The Golden State Warriors finalize the recoveries of Klay Thompson and James Wiseman, and both have been assigned to the Santa Cruz Warriors of the Development League, the outlet reported. ESPN.
The objective of the Oakland franchise is that both Thompson and Wiseman add quality minutes before certifying their return to the park after suffering serious injuries to the Achilles heel and meniscus respectively.
«Klay (Thompson) will do a scrimmage, and James (Wiseman) will continue his recovery work. I don’t think Wiseman can do that kind of drill yet, and Klay is already playing five-on-five, ”Coach Steve Kerr said.
Thompson, who has been out for almost two years due to injury, averaged 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals in his last season in action, including 40% in triples.
For his part, Wiseman, who was number 2 in the 2020 Draft, harvested in his year rookie figures of 11.5 points and 5.7 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per game.
