Klay Thompson faces the final stage of his recovery process after more than two years without dressing short. The guard has received authorization from the Golden State Warriors medical corps to train without any type of restriction with his teammates.
The player had completed a variety of five-on-five workouts over the past week as the Warriors embarked on a short game tour away from home. As reported by the media The Athletic, the five-time All-Star could reappear days before the Christmas Day celebration.
After not playing an official game since he injured the ACL in his left knee during the 2019 NBA Finals, Thompson will use the next few weeks as something of a training camp individual to complete your set-up. He has left this injury behind, as well as the Achilles tendon tear that kept him in dry dock last season.
The Warriors plan for Klay to make his debut this season at home, narrowing the possibilities down to very concrete options. According to Shams Charania, it is very possible that this will materialize during the December 20 game against Sacramento or the 23 against Memphis.
