Both Kevin Knox and his teammate Luca Vildoza will play their places in the New York Knicks during the 2021 preseason, reports Marc Stein of the NY Post.
The one who was number 9 in the 2018 Draft disappeared from Tom Thibodeau’s rotation at the end of last year, and since his arrival in the NBA, he has always been required a plus in defense that has never come. In 42 official games he averaged 3.9 points and 1.5 rebounds in just 11 minutes of play.
For his part, Vildoza arrived in New York with the playoffs just around the corner on an unsecured three-year contract. He trained with the Knicks while his teammates fought in the playoffs against the Hawks; and in the Summer Leagues he has had a fairly low-key performance.
Vildoza has stiff competition in outside positions, such as Kemba Walker, RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, Alec Burks, Derrick Rose or rookies Quentin Grimes and Miles McBride.
The Argentine played two games in Las Vegas with figures of 1.5 assists and 1 rebound in 6.4 minutes per day.
