The Competitions Committee of the Spanish Football Association decided not to impose any penalty on Dutch coach Ronald Koeman, Barcelona coach, despite his statements after the El Clasico match against Real Madrid on October 24.
The Dutch coach stated at the time, after the match Barcelona lost (1-3) in the seventh round of the League, that he did not understand video technology, considering that this technique is used to the detriment of his Catalan team.
The Spanish newspaper “Sport” said: “The committee did not find any attack from Koeman on arbitration, but rather spoke about the VAR tool, and therefore there were no legal reasons for punishing him.”

In the event that Coman was found to have underestimated the Spanish arbitration, he had been subjected to a suspension ranging from 4 to 12 matches, in addition to a fine ranging from 601 euros to 3005.06 euros.
Article 100 of the penal code prohibits statements that carry an explicit accusation of arbitration in the Spanish League matches.
It is noteworthy that Coman assumed the task of supervising Barça last summer, after the dismissal of Quique Setien, and led the team in 20 matches, achieved 12 wins and 3 draws, while he received 4 defeats.
