More than 40 people were injured in an explosion at a restaurant in central Kosovo on Tuesday, local police said.
Police said that the explosion that destroyed the front entrance of the “Steakhouse” in the town of Verizage, was most likely caused by a defect in a gas tank in the restaurant, and they opened an investigation into the accident.
Police officials told reporters that the explosion wounded 42 people, including children, and that seven of the wounded were in critical condition.
According to the mayor of Verizajf, the explosion was so violent that passers-by were also among the injured, along with the restaurant’s customers.
