Praise for the stellar play of Miami Heat guard Jimmy Butler was required after a 35 point performance on Wednesday night to upset the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals.
Butler shot just under 50 percent for the night after logging 43 minutes, knocking down 12 of 25 shots and nine of ten free throws.
His final stat line showed 35 points, five rebounds and seven assists alongside an eyepopping six steals.
That performance helped power Miami to a 123-116 victory, shocking and silencing the crowd at Boston’s notorious TD Garden.
After the game, teammate Kyle Lowry had nothing but praise for the star, calling him one of the best in the world.Â
