Kyrie Irving will not be able to play the second game of the 2021 preseason against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The player has been listed as “ineligible” for not having received any dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the laws of the state of New York you must have at least one dose to be able to play the games. And in this case the base refuses to do it. If this situation continues, it would cause a loss in the 41 games of the regular season that were played at the Barclays Center; both from Madison Square; and two others in the Golden State Warriors pavilion. In addition, the NBA would have already made it clear that it will not charge for any of them.
Irving was able to train with the rest of his classmates on the campus they held in San Diego; However, he was not present at the return to Brooklyn and neither at the franchise’s Media Day, which had to attend the media by videoconference.
The Nets opened the preseason with a victory over the Lakers by 123-97; and on the second day they return to Brooklyn to face the reigning champions the Milwaukee Bucks. The crash will be at dawn on Friday from 01:30 hours.
