LA Clippers’ Paul George is set to miss the team’s nine remaining regular-season games with a sprained knee after collision with Oklahoma’s Lu Dort
Los Angeles Clippers superstar Paul George is set to be re-evaluated in two-three weeks after suffering a sprained right knee against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
During the game’s fourth quarter George landed awkwardly after banging knees with Oklahoma City shooting guard Luguentz Dort.
George’s knee appeared to bend backwards before he spent several minutes laying on the court and being tended to by trainers.
After receiving aid, George was helped directly to the locker room.Â
He is expected to miss the remaining nine games of the regular season and his status for the playoffs will become clearer after he is re-assessed.

‘Next man up,’ Kawhi Leonard said on Tuesday night when asked if George has to miss time.
‘We’ll see. We got a group of guys that still want to win, that like to play basketball, so we’ll see what happens.’Â
George was named to his eighth All-Star game this year while averaging 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game this season.
The Clippers will rely on Leonard, along with newly-acquired point guard Russell Westbrook as they fight for postseason seeding down the final stretch of the season.
‘We have players and Norm is coming back pretty soon,’ forward Nic Batum said on Tuesday night.
‘We obviously miss our teammate, [but] we still got a good coach, good team. Of course, PG is a huge key for us. If we have to go through some time without him, we just have to go out there and win some games.’Â
The Clippers are currently fifth in the NBA’s Western Conference with a record of 38-35.Â
