The Los Angeles Lakers have released a considerable weight of your staff after announcing through an official statement the termination of the contracts of Joel Ayayi, Chaundee Brown, Cameron Oliver and Trevelin Queen.
Agreements Exhibit 10 signed by Brown, Oliver and Queen already foreshadowed that none of them would have a place in the roster final for the 2021-22 season. However, Ayayi’s dismissal is more unexpected. The point guard emerged as one of the best players undrafted from the 2021 litter and was quickly hired by the Lakers on a two-way deal.
The dire balance of the Angelenos in preseason (0-6) and their minimal impact on the game (a success in ten attempts in five games) may have sentenced him. Thus, the painting directed by Frank Vogel releases a dual agreement. However, these players could call on full time in the Development League.
These moves leave the Lakers with fifteen players under contract, fourteen under standard agreements and Sekou Doumbouya subject to a two-way contract.
