Sekou Doumbouya’s adventure in the Los Angeles Lakers has not lasted, as the gold and purple franchise has announced his dismissal to make room for player Chaundee Brown, who will take his place through a dual agreement.
Doumbouya landed with the Lakers as a free agent after being traded to the Brooklyn Nets in the deal to release DeAndre Jordan’s salary. Selected by the Pistons through the 15th pick of the 2019 Draft, he has career averages of 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 17.3 minutes.
For his part, Chaundee Brown was left out of the 2021 Draft access positions after training between Wake Forest and a final year in Michigan, and he already did last preseason with the Lakers until he was fired on October 15. Now he returns to the franchise to the South Bay Lakers of the G League.
