The Los Angeles Lakers have closed the transfer of Marc Gasol to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for the rights to Wang Zhelin, the 57th pick in the 2016 draft. ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski, the Angelina franchise has also sent Memphis a pick of the second round of 2024 and cash.
This agreement allows the Lakers to save ten million in luxury tax. Marc’s future in California had been in question all year and the recent addition of DeAndre Jordan has ended up precipitating his departure.
Wojnarowski himself points out that the Grizzlies will agree with him center Spanish the termination of your contract. For now, Gasol’s intention would be to stay in Spain with his family.
