LaMarcus Aldridge became a starter in the second half of his rookie season with the Portland Trail Blazers. Since then he had never been a reserve until this year with the Brooklyn Nets jersey. A new role that, according to his own statements, has been quite difficult to assimilate.

Since the Chicago Bulls were selected by the second pick of the 2006 Draft, but immediately transferred to the Blazers in the operation by Tyrus Thomas and Eddy Curry, he has obtained numbers of 19.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2 assists in 34 minutes of play, included in the Best Rookie Quintet 2007; seven times selected to contest the All-Star Game; twice included in the NBA Second Best Team and three times in the NBA Third Best Team.
