Lance Stephenson, who was a player for the Indiana Pacers or the Los Angeles Lakers among many others, has been selected in 13th place in the 2021 G League Draft by the Grand Rapids Gold, a team affiliated with the NBA’s Denver Nuggets.
The number 1 went to Shamorie Ponds, being chosen by the Delaware Blue Cots (Philadelphia 76ers); another ex NBA like Brandon Knight has gone to number 6 by Sioux Falls Skyforce (Miami Heat); and Dwayne Wade’s son, Zaire Wade, has fallen to No. 10 on the Salt Lake City Stars, the Utah Jazz-affiliated group owned by his father.
Stephenson tried (without success) to return this past summer to the NBA doing several private training sessions; However, the wayward guard did not find a place in the league, and will seek to earn a spot from the Development League.
In 508 official NBA meetings, he has a career averages of 8.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 23.4 minutes per game.
