An urgent warning has been sent out for four popular battery charger banks that can catch fire if they overheat.
The Comsol products sold at Officeworks were recalled by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) due to an internal defect.
The regulatory body warned there is a ‘risk of fire, serious injury or death’.

‘Consumers should immediately stop using the power bank,’ the ACCC said.
Anyone who purchased one of the faulty models can return it to their nearest Officeworks store for a full refund.
The product is an external battery for laptop computer, often used by people who are travelling and not near a power point.
Comsol is a Swedish computer software firm that also makes electronic goods such as batteries.
