Larry the Cable Man on Thursday had to make clear a joke about significantly-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) just after he received backlash on Twitter.
The comedian, genuine identify Daniel Lawrence Whitney, tweeted 4 images of Greene heckling Joe Biden in the course of the president’s State of the Union address this week and wrote:
“This pic reminds me of just about every comedians x girlfriend coming to their display and sitting down in the back 6 days after the break up.”
The standup was criticized by some commenters for what they evidently imagined was an assault on Greene. In reaction to some of the messages, he clarified he did not vote for Biden and it was “not a political joke.” He also praised Greene’s “moxy” but said she “def necessary a several speech lessons.”
Later, he tweeted a fuller reaction:
“This was not a political joke! Unbelievable. Lighten up some of you sheesh,” he wrote. “It was about a comic acquiring heckled by his x at the club. She had all the gestures.”
“Some of you def never stick to me or you’d believe 2 times on your dumb remarks,” he included.
Just before the 2016 election, the comic warned that Democratic applicant Hillary Clinton “will be the stop of the state.” But he also expressed issue about GOP rival Donald Trump, admitting he was place off by “some of the things” he said. He’s given that regularlyattacked significant media protection of the twice-impeached previous president.
