The length of the lava flow caused by the eruption of the Klochevskoe volcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Russian Far East reached 1.2 km.
The Institute of Volcanology and Seismology in the Far East Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences indicated that volcanic torrents began to move in the course of the Krutenkaya and Kergorech rivers, stressing that the torrents will not reach the nearby town of Kluchi.

The eruption of the volcano began on February 18th.
It is noteworthy that Klochevskoye is the highest volcano in Eurasia, and it is located at a distance of 360 km from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchats.
