Dangerous slide

Warning of the danger of escalation

In a related context, the Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, and his French counterpart, the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noel Barrot, stressed today the necessity of an “immediate and permanent” ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, and warned of the danger of escalation in the region.
A Jordanian Foreign Ministry statement said that the two ministers held talks in the capital, Amman, in which they stressed “the necessity of reaching an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon,” and the two ministers warned of “the danger of the escalation taking place in the region.”
