The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the “Pfizer” anti-corona virus vaccine had obtained the approval of the ministry’s scientific committee, indicating that Lebanon would receive the vaccine in mid-February.
In a statement, the ministry clarified that “based on the data it had available, the most important of which is the effectiveness and the approval of the vaccine by international references, which is the basis for registering and approving any medicine in Lebanon, the Pfizer vaccine was chosen that fulfilled those controls and obtained a license for emergency use, and it also acquired On the approval of the scientific committee at the Ministry of Health, Lebanon will receive the vaccine in mid-February, in batches, so that 15% of the citizens will be covered.
She indicated that she had negotiated with the global platform “Kovacs”, to obtain additional vaccines that would be approved later by the World Health Organization, to cover an additional 20% of citizens, respectively, according to the plan of the national committee supervising Corona vaccines.
