LeBron James ‘could MISS multiple weeks’ after sustaining right foot injury in epic comeback win over Dallas as the Los Angeles Lakers star says it ‘f***in sucks’ in major blow to playoff push
Los Angeles Lakers have been left sweating on the health of star LeBron James with fears he could be out hurt for an extended spell, according to reports.
The NBA’s all-time leading scorer was officially ruled out of Lakers’ Tuesday game vs. Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night, a day after he sustained a right foot injury but his absence could be a longer period.
The team, which is pushing for a playoff spot, is preparing itself for multiple weeks without James, according to The Athletic.
The report claims that James carried on despite injury in the dramatic 111-108 win over the Mavericks on Sunday and needs to get more than one opinion on the issue.Â
James shared his frustration onto his Instagram story Monday night, writing ‘f***in sucks’ alongside a boomerang video of his injured foot.Â

James was pivotal to the Lakers’ epic comeback against Dallas but he was seen limping following the game.
‘It’s been better,’ James said when asked about his foot postgame. ‘That’s for sure.Â
‘But I definitely wasn’t going to go to the locker room and not finish the game out tonight. Just understood the importance of the game and then with the momentum that we had, I felt like we could still win after being down.
‘We’ll monitor it the next couple days, see how it feels and go from there.’
James scored 26 points in the win but hurt his right foot when he stepped on an opponent’s foot in the third quarter.
James was officially listed as out for the game against the Grizzlies due to right foot soreness on Monday.
The 19-time All-Star is averaging 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 47 games this season.
Even with two big wins — over Dallas and Golden State — coming out of the All-Star break, LA began the week in 12th place in the West. That was a game out of the final playoff play-in spot and 2 1/2 out of a top-six landing with just 21 games left.
James recently labeled the remaining Lakers games as the ‘most important’ of his astounding career when it comes to the regular season.
‘It’s 23 of the most important games of my career, for a regular season,’ he said.
‘It’s the type of mindset that I have, and I hope the guys will have, coming back off the break.’
