(CNN) –– Lee Ji Han, a Korean actor and K-pop singer, is among the more than 150 victims who were crushed to death during a Halloween celebration in Seoul, South Korea, this weekend, his management announced.
Lee’s management agency 935 Entertainment confirmed the news to Korean media on Sunday. Reports indicated that Lee was 24 years old.
On Instagram, 935 Entertainment wrote that she was “heartbroken” to have to share the “sad news.” She also referred to Lee Ji Han as “a cherished member of the family.”
“We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family members who are deeply grieving,” the statement continued.
Lee participated in the second season of “Produce 101,” a Korean singing competition. He made his acting debut in the 2019 web drama “Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day.”
So far, at least 155 people have been confirmed dead, and dozens more injured, following a crushing incident during the Halloween festivities on Friday night in a small alley in the Itaewon district of Seoul.
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol declared a period of national mourning, prompting several entertainment programs to suspend their broadcast, according to CNN Philippines.
