In urgent news, the Italian “Nova” news agency quoted Libyan sources as the killing of military leaders belonging to the Government of National Accord, following an explosion at the Naval Academy in the Janzour region.
A Libyan officer, Ali Al-Khalidi, told the agency that a fire broke out inside the academy, west of the Libyan capital, Tripoli, as a result of the explosion of an ammunition store, killing the commander of the Naval Academy, Brigadier General Ahmed Ayoub, and Brigadier Salim Abu Salah, in addition to another person, while five others were injured. .
It was reported that the explosion occurred hours after the Chief of Staff of the National Accord Forces, Mohamed Al-Haddad, visited the headquarters of the Naval Academy, located 11 km from the headquarters of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, in the Janzour region.
