LIST: School closings in East TN on Jan. 10 due to wintry weather

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Schools are closed again Friday for parts of East Tennessee and Kentucky as we continue to see frigid temperatures across the area. With snow in the forecast, several schools and organizations announced closures.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for Tennessee from 10 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m. on Saturday. They are reporting between 3 inches and 6 inches of snow, with higher amounts possible in some areas.

A list of the school districts and organizations in the area that said they would close on Friday, Jan. 10, is available below. Major, public school districts are underlined.
