Liverpool qualified for the fourth round of the FA Cup (round of 32) by defeating its host Arsenal with two unanswered goals – today, Sunday – in the third round competitions.
Arsenal defender Jacob Kuyor scored Liverpool’s first goal by mistake against his team in the 80th minute, before Luis Diaz added the second goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time in the second half.
On the other hand, the crisis continued for the London team, which gained one point from its last 3 matches in the local league, including two losses to neighbors West Ham and Fulham, to decline from first to fourth place in the Premier League.

Arsenal played the match in the absence of its Brazilian striker, Gabriel Jesus, who suffered a minor knee injury during training, and its Spanish coach, Mikel Arteta, decided to include the winger, Rais Nelson, instead of the Brazilian, Gabriel Martinelli.
The matches of the same round, which were played on Sunday, witnessed Manchester City defeating Huddersfield Town 5-0, West Bromwich defeating Aldershot Town 4-1, and Wrexham defeating Shrewsbury 1-0.
