Since sanitary protocol became fashionable again, players have been coming and going from the NBA franchises at the speed of light. Or rather, at the speed of the ten days of contract that usually anchor them to each destination. Only a few are the winners who manage to extend those ten working hours, and Stanley Johnson is on his way to being one of them.
The forward’s relationship with the Angelenos came to an end last Monday, but both parties are interested in a return to the team after Denzel Valentine’s departure in Rajon Rondo’s move has created a space on the roster. Here are three options. Either he signs a new ten-day deal starting next Wednesday or the Lakers offer him to stay for the rest of the season. They could also offer you two more ten-day contracts, as the last one responded to the hardship exception.
Frank Vogel seems to be clear that he is a player who can be important in his schemes, given that he is one of the only outside pieces with real defensive talent on the roster. In five games, Johnson has started three times and has averaged 6.8 points and one steal per game.
