The Phoenix Suns have closed the hiring of Chandler Hutchison, as has announced the franchise itself in a press release.
The 25-year-old forward had recently been cut by the San Antonio Spurs. He had previously landed in Texas from the Washington Wizards as part of the trade that sent Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Hutchison has played a total of 97 NBA games with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards since he was selected in the 22nd position in the 2018 draft. After averaging 20.0 points per game in his senior year at Boise State, he has had trouble settling in the league, where he recorded 5.7 points in 18.2 minutes.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but the Suns currently have fourteen guaranteed contracts on the team, so the arrival of Hutchinson could fill the last available gap.
