The passing of the years – and it has not taken so much either – has taught us that Kawhi Leonard is one of the best players in the NBA, but in the same way it has made us understand that he is far from combining traits that are usually assumed to stars of the League. Quiet, sometimes in his world and with a cold air, the now forward of the Clippers has marked a path of his own that, as Lou Williams now explains, reaches even what is seen during training.
Participating in the podcast The Trap withKarlous Miller and Clayton English, the veteran guard, spoke of several former teammates such as Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant and James Harden. When asked about Kawhi Leonard and the comparison in how he worked from day to day compared to others, Sweet Lou He does not hesitate to emphasize that he is different from any other player.
“We talk about completely different styles. Kawhi is there an hour and a half before training and is still there an hour and a half after, but that’s just his pace… He needs half the day to fix his things. Is that how it works. You know what I’m saying? But he is definitely a worker. Actually with four different styles ”, he concludes.
This is Leonard. Since he came to the NBA, he has marked his own path and thus has achieved two rings and two Finals MVPs. In the Clippers they know the player they have on the squad and they have not hesitated to renew him for four years and $ 176 million despite the fact that he may not play until the 2022-23 season. When you are ready, at your own pace, you will be decisive again.
