Florida Gators rise in the latest Amway Coaches Poll
USA TODAY Sports’ Paul Myerberg breaks down the latest Amway Coaches Poll.
LSU officials will eliminate wellness checks for fans at entry points at Tiger Stadium in order to reduce lines at this weekend’s game against Missouri.
Instead, LSU Athletics officials are encouraging fans to conduct a self-assessment test to check for COVID-19 symptoms before attending a game.
“Whoever has a ticket — they still have to do the survey that is sent out about symptoms,” a member of LSU guest services told USA TODAY Sports.
Although social-distancing was encouraged, “more people are congregating in the lines” while waiting for a wellness check.
The school also said it will allow alcohol to be sold in all areas of the stadium.
In 2019, SEC presidents voted to lift the organization’s ban on alcohol sales inside the stadium during games. LSU then allowed alcohol sales in premium seating and now will allow fans in general seating areas to purchase.
Fans must wear a face covering to purchase alcohol and must drink it in their seats.
