The Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” revealed today, Monday, that calling Barcelona player Pedri for the first time to the Spanish national football team will cost the coffers of the Catalan club one million euros.
Former Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique, the coach of the Spanish national team, decided to summon Pedri for the first time to the “Foria La Roja”, in preparation for the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” said that Las Palmas club is the most beneficiary of the accession of its former player, Pedri Gonzalez, to the list of the Spanish national team, as his current Barcelona team is required to pay an amount of one million euros to Las Palmas, within the variants of the contract with the player.
The newspaper pointed out that the two parties agreed on a clause that gives Las Palmas the right to an amount of one million euros in the event that Pedri is summoned to Spain’s first team, a condition that has now been met.
Barcelona had signed the 18-year-old young player, Pedri, last summer, from Las Palmas, for 5 million euros, in addition to several variables that would increase the total amount to about 25 million.
