French President Emmanuel Macron has said that any new negotiations on the Iran nuclear deal will be very strict and should include Saudi Arabia.
According to Al Arabiya TV, Macron indicated that the time remaining to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon is very limited.
Macron stressed the need to avoid repeating the mistakes of the international nuclear agreement signed in 2015 with Iran, and excluded other countries in the region.
Iran began to exceed permissible limits in uranium enrichment in response to the US withdrawal from the agreement in 2018 during the rule of former President Donald Trump, who re-imposed comprehensive economic sanctions on Tehran.
President Joe Biden’s administration pledged to return to the agreement, but only after Tehran returned to full compliance with its provisions.
