(CNN) — Madonna will reschedule her world tour dates in North America after she was recently hospitalized.
The Grammy winner announced the news in an Instagram post on Monday.
“Thank you for your positive energy, your prayers and your healing and encouraging words. I have felt your love,” she wrote. “I am on the mend and am incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life,” she added.
He later recounted: “The first thing I thought of when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I didn’t want to disappoint anyone who had bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to disappoint the people who worked tirelessly with me over the years. last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint you.”
“Now I am focused on my health and getting stronger, and I assure you that I will return to you as soon as I can,” he added.
Madonna stated that she will begin her international tour in October.
CNN has reached out to their representatives for further comment, but has not heard back as of yet.
Last month, Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary announced that the queen of pop had been in intensive care after developing a “serious bacterial infection”.
Madonna’s “Celebration” tour was due to kick off on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada.
In a statement following Madonna’s post, Live Nation confirmed that all of her North American tour dates have been postponed.
“We encourage fans to hold on to their tickets as they will be valid for the new dates once they are announced,” the statement read.
