Focused military and strategic expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi In his daily military analysis on Al Jazeera on the course of the battles between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation army on the 90th day of the Israeli aggression on… Gaza strip.
Al-Duwairi said that the central area of the Gaza Strip is the hottest in terms of battles, and that the cornerstone of the camps area (Al-Bureij, Al-Maghazi and Al-Nuseirat) is Al-Bureij, stressing that the occupation forces brought the 36th Armored Division from the northern region and pushed it to Al-Bureij, and reinforced it with two brigades, so that it became there. 5 brigades: 3 armor brigades and 2 paratrooper brigades.
He stressed that the occupation forces began the battle on Salah al-Din Street, and failed on the first day and suffered heavy losses. Then they modified the form of the maneuver, and began the attack on Bureij from the northern and eastern facades with fire bombardment from the southern area, but they failed again.
In the third attempt, the occupation forces pushed in new forces and were able to enter the area separating the Bureij and Nuseirat camps.
To achieve its goal of entering Al-Bureij camp – which is the most crowded and oldest, with an area of 2.5 square kilometers – the occupation forces – according to Al-Duwairi – are carrying out fire bombardment from the sea, while conducting maneuvers that suggest that they will carry out a landing operation in order to confuse them.
Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that clashes with heavy machine guns took place in the camps area in the middle of the Gaza Strip, where the resistance is confronting the Israeli forces in Bureij, Al-Maghazi and Al-Nuseirat.
In the southern region of the Gaza Strip – especially Khan Yunis and Bani Suhaila – the military expert believes that the Israeli occupation forces mobilized 7 brigades for this region, but they did not achieve achievements and were forced to retreat.
Al-Duwairi said that the difference was in Al-Qarara, which is the most prominent point in the battle of the south, because in this region the Palestinian resistance carried out specific operations similar to the Juhr al-Dik operations south of Gaza City.
He added that the occupation forces began a new attack on Al-Qarara from 3 directions: west, south and east.
Al-Duwairi concluded that the Palestinian resistance on the various fronts of the fighting is still capable of resisting and launching missiles that reach Tel Aviv and Ashkelon, and in return, the occupation forces are suffering continuous losses in their battles with the Palestinian resistance.
