Missing financial adviser Melissa Caddick could soon be one of ‘New South Wales‘ most wanted woman’ as police move one step closer to placing her on the notorious list.

The 49-year-old Sydneysider is alleged to have stolen about $25million from investors in a pyramid scheme before vanishing without a trace from her Dover Heights mansion one day after fraud investigators raided her home in November.

Her disappearance has been shrouded in mystery but NSW Police are growing more certain the alleged conwoman is still alive and on the run.

In the past week former colleagues claimed to police she went on a shredding spree after learning she was under investigation by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, reports say.

It is understood police are preparing to open a criminal investigation alongside the missing persons probe, and even add her to NSW’s most wanted list.

The watchdog discovered she was allegedly using a false Australian Financial Services Licence to manage her clients’ money under her financial firm Maliver Pty Ltd.

Now it has emerged the businesswoman allegedly organised a document destruction company to get rid of hundreds of files from her $6million mansion in September, the Daily Telegraph said.

After compiling all the documents the company then moved the files offsite to destroy them, reports say.

An ASIC investigation found Ms Caddick spent an enormous amount funding her lavish lifestyle, buying up luxury clothes, overseas travel and even forking out thousands on protein shakes.

On her American Express card alone, Ms Caddick allegedly spent $229,277 at Dior, $187,000 at Canturi Jewellers, $48,000 at Chanel and $52,548 at Cosmopolitan shoes.

The documents also claimed Ms Caddick splurged on holidays to Fiji, New York and Aspen.

Her unemployed husband Mr Koletti, 38, also drove a $300,000 Audi R8 sports car.

Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting he is in any way responsible for the alleged scam.

Her glamorous high-flying lifestyle even fooled one of her closest colleagues who told investigators at Bondi Police Station she had no idea Ms Caddick was allegedly forging financial statements to fool her clients.

The woman, who worked with Caddick for over 20 years, told police in a five hours interview that she trusted her and invested about $1million hoping it would support her children’s future.

Another colleague said she believed her wages were being paid into a superannuation fund worth about $700,000.

She has since discovered the money she was owed is all gone.

One of the strategies Ms Caddick used to allegedly dupe clients was to insist they use one of her accountants.

‘She more or less said “I have space for you but you have to change accountants because yours is too slow”,’ one of her alleged victims said.

A statement provided to NSW Police, has revealed that one accountant had about 10 Maliver clients on his books.

ASIC’s case against Ms Caddick will return to the Federal Court on Monday.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Superannuation Accounting Services for comment.
