An Australian makeup artist has shared the amusing moment her fiancé proposed to her in a monkey cage while she was holding worms in her hand.
Sarah Mudle, from the Gold Coast, swiftly shared the exciting news on social media after her now-fiancé Blaine surprised her when he popped the question when they visited the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in Queensland on Saturday.
‘So this just happened! I’m officially engaged! In love with my ring. Skulls and a black diamond yes please,’ she wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of Blaine pulling out an engagement ring as he got down on one knee.
‘Moment captured. I was in a cage with a hand full of worms feeding tiny monkeys! I turn around to see Blaine on one knee.’

The couple were visiting the sanctuary on December 5, but Sarah said she had no idea the staff also knew about Blaine’s secret proposal plan.
‘I can’t believe literally all the staff knew about it all day. You guys kept the secret so well,’ Sarah said.
Sarah – who’s a a special effects makeup artist – said Blaine went ‘above and beyond’ with the proposal and she couldn’t be happier with how he decided to pop the question.

Sarah said the designer who created her engagement ring worked for the Pirates of the Caribbean making all the jewellery for the film, which she was thrilled to discover
The ring itself features one large black diamond, two white diamonds on either side and two skulls holding the main diamond in place.
To ensure Sarah loved the design, Blaire had the ring custom made.
