Axe attack horror in Sydney as man and a woman are rushed to hospital with horrific injuries – and three females are arrested

A man and woman have suffered serious injuries following a suspected axe attack in Sydney – with police arresting three women over the incident.
Emergency crews were called to an address in Glenfield in the city’s south-west just before 5.30pm on Saturday following reports of an assault.
Paramedics treated two people at the scene at Dobu Place before they were rushed to hospital.
The man suffered gashes to his legs and the woman received a minor laceration to her head, NSW Police confirmed.
‘Following inquiries, police arrested three women at a nearby house who have been conveyed to Campbelltown Police Station,’ a police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.

Officers have established a crime scene with a house being cordoned off on Saturday night.
Paramedics have said the weapon used in the attack is understood to be an axe.
‘NSW Ambulance officers were called around 5.30pm with reports of people being attacked,’ a spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.
‘We treated two people at the scene a man and a woman understood to be in her forties.
‘One patient suffered a deep laceration to their leg as well as head injury and the other patient had quite a bad hand injury.
‘There were reports of an axe and less reliable reports of a sword being used in the attack.’
The man and woman were both taken to Liverpool Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
