A manhunt is underway for two men accused of bashing a female newsagent worker, knocking out a security guard and carjacking a luxury BMW convertible.
Police have arrest warrants out for Joseph Miles, 50, and Wayne Holten, 36, who are both wanted over a string of armed robberies across Sydney in recent weeks.
Their rampage allegedly began when they stole a $40,000 Infiniti Q30 sedan from the car park of a high-rise building in Burwood in the city’s inner-west in the early hours of November 11.
The men allegedly stole the car when its driver got out to move an obstruction and then king-hit him when he tried to fight back.
Hours later, police allege they stormed a newsagent in Beverly Hills in the city’s south on November 11.
Shocking CCTV footage showed two masked men storm in and hit the elderly female shopkeeper over the head with a metal bar.
The worker was then seen clutching her blood-soaked face as her colleague attempted to fend off the robbers – before he too was hit with the same bar.
