Mara Lezama launched the 2022 Vacation Security Plan

• The state governor highlights the close coordination of all security corporations for the protection of inhabitants, visitors and tourists.

Cancun.- For the protection of the thousands of tourists who will be in the tourist destinations of Quintana Roo during the winter vacation season, as well as the visitors and inhabitants, the governor Mara Lezama Espinosa gave the flag of the Vacation Security Plan 2022 in the emblematic Malecón Tajamar.

This Plan has the participation and coordination of corporations, institutions and security entities of the three levels of government, including the secretariats of National Defense and the Navy, as part of the strategy of the Security Board for the Construction of peace.

Governor Mara Lezama expressed that this coordination responds to the guidelines of the New Agreement for Well-being and Development to advance in the construction of a new government of true change, united, hand in hand, with the participation of civil society.

“Today I invite the population to assume the commitment to act with moderation, to act prudently to avoid accidents and unfortunate events” exhorted the head of the Executive. “We are preparing ourselves from all points of view, in health, safety, infrastructure, from all those things that we know are needed to provide a good service. Today I wish all of you the best of success because if you are successful it means that we will have a great season and that we are in good hands,” she added.

To promote the leadership of Quintana Roo, Governor Mara Lezama promotes the diversification of sustainable and sustainable tourism that offers different experiences to visitors but also takes care of the natural wealth of the Mexican Caribbean, which allows generating shared prosperity.

In the period from January to August of this year, the influx of tourists reached 13 million 012 thousand 290, surpassing what was registered in 2019 by 14.4%, when the number of tourists was 11 million 374 thousand 038.

2022 will close with historical figures, and a future with more and new products loaded with environmental, cultural and social responsibility components is glimpsed.

According to Sedetur, the summer season closed with 3,757,775 tourists and more than 300,000 visitors arrived in the entity in the first week of October alone.
