Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene isn’t backing down from her head-scratching “b-word” feud with fellow far right wing Rep. Lauren Boebert, even after it got her booted from the House Freedom Caucus.
Greene’s “MTG Battleground” podcast doubled down on the insult aimed at Boebert by spelling out the nasty word on Twitter and retweeting an article about the controversy.
“Li’l b—h,” the account for Greene’s eponymous podcast tweeted Friday, including a link to a story about her ouster from the Freedom Caucus.
It followed that up with more usual fare like a morning “Happy Friday! Impeach Joe Biden!” tweet.
It’s unclear why Greene thinks her squabble with Boebert reflects well on her, when it’s already cost her some political clout.
She resorted to playground taunts last month on the floor of the House against Boebert, whom she accused of stealing her thunder by introducing a competing version of her proposal to impeach President Biden.
Boebert kept her cool and walked away from the set-to. She even took the high road by later tweeting that Greene is “not my enemy.”
The Freedom Caucus, the preeminent group of far right-wing lawmakers, firmly sided with Boebert, voting to expel Greene late last month.
The ouster stayed secret for a few days before being confirmed earlier Thursday by Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.), who said the shouting match was the main reason although Greene’s budding political alliance with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy also raised hackles.
Boebert has not commented on Greene’s expulsion and has stuck to tweeting about GOP red meat issues like denouncing the supposed cover-up surrounding the small amount of cocaine found at the White House.
The latest eruption wasn’t the first time Greene and Boebert have faced off against one another.
Greene got into an argument with Boebert’s in the congressional ladies room after the Colorado Republican resisted backing McCarthy’s tortuous bid for the speaker’s gavel, which he won on the 15th ballot.
The feud is puzzling to observers because Greene and Boebert share almost identical views about almost every hot button issue and are both staunch supporters of former President Donald Trump.
They were once strong political allies and appeared to be close friends, even tag-team heckling Biden during his 2022 State of the Union address.
