The Thunder will face their three-game road trip to the East without their coach. Mark Daigneault has told the franchise that he will not be able to accompany the team on this trip because his wife is about to give birth, which leaves basketball in the background. The coach will be supporting his wife and watching his son be born, and will rejoin the discipline of the franchise when the squad returns to Oklahoma City.
The OKC tour begins today, Friday the 19th, in Milwaukee, and later it will take them to visit the Celtics and the Hawks respectively. The third meeting will take place on Monday the 22nd, at which time they will return to their city to host the Utah Jazz two days later.
In this brief period, the person in charge of directing the team will be David Bliss, who has been an assistant to the Thunder for the last three seasons. We’ll see how he handles this opportunity as Daigneault attends one of the most important moments of his life.
