The guard Denver Nuggets’ Markus Howard has been diagnosed with a knee sprain that will keep him out for at least six weeks, according to the team itself.
The player suffered the injury during Wednesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which he was forced to leave during the fourth quarter.
While any structural damage to his knee has been ruled out, this is bad news for both the franchise and the player. The Nuggets already have the serious injuries of Michael Porter Jr., Jamal Murray and PJ Dozier, in addition to two players in the health and safety protocols: Austin Rivers and Bol Bol.
Howard had achieved some prominence in Michael Malone’s rotation, registering 16.7 minutes in the last three games. Now, this development will be cut and he will have to compete again for minutes on his return.
