(CNN) — Martha Stewart is one of the models selected for the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in its 2023 edition.
At 81, the businesswoman is the oldest model to have worn a swimsuit in the magazine, which called the achievement “historic.”
“I like that image,” Stewart said of her cover photo as she showed it on Monday’s “Today” show.
Stewart posed in the Dominican Republic for the session and appears with a total of ten looks.
“When I found out I was going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated SwimsuitI thought, ‘Oh, that’s great, I’m going to be the oldest person, I think, to have ever been on a magazine cover. Sports Illustrated‘” Stewart said. Then he added: “And I don’t think much about age, but I think this is historical.”
In one fell swoop, Sports Illustrated he referred to the cover art as “epic”.
