Best Marvel Rivals heroes ranked
Our Marvel Rivals heroes tier list categories the entire hero roster into four tiers, ranging from S to C.
TIER | TIER EXPLANATION |
S | These are the most powerful heroes that synergize well with any team. They are also easy to master. |
A | They are almost as powerful as S-tier heroes but have a steep learning curve. |
B | These are powerful heroes that are effective in certain situations only and require proper team synergy to flourish. |
C | These are good heroes that currently don’t have proper team synergies and are underpowered in the current meta. |
Before we get into the actual tier list, it’s worth pointing out that it’s not an objectively accurate list and you can have fun playing Marvel Rivals with any character.
MARVEL RIVALS HERO TIER | MARVEL RIVALS HERO |
S | Psylocke, Luna Snow, Winter Soldier, Moon Knight, Magneto, Mantis, Star-Lord, The Punisher |
A | Jeff the Land Shark, Cloak & Dagger, Groot, Scarlet Witch, Venom, Hela, Loki, Hawkeye, Iron Fist |
B | Adam Warlock, Magik, Iron Man, Black Panther, Rocket Raccoon, Spider-Man, Peni Parker, Squirrel Girl, Captain America |
C | Wolverine, Storm, Hulk, Black Widow, Hulk, Namor |
All S-tier Marvel Rivals characters are some of the most powerful heroes of their respective archetypes.
They are easy to learn, and most importantly, they don’t need to rely on other characters to make the most out of their abilities.
For instance, Psylocke is an excellent Duelist who can sneak into enemy territory, kill them with her psionic crossbow, and use her dodge ability to quickly get out of harm’s way without relying on her teammates.
Add to that her excellent ultimate, which can easily wipe out enemy team when used efficiently, and you have an incredibly deadly and self-sufficient unit.
Likewise, Luna Snow is the best Strategist in the game because she can heal herself and her teammates and deal damage to enemies.
Her most effective ability is her ultimate, which is easy to deploy and can be used to boost damage or heal all allies if they are in her range.
All A-tier Marvel Rivals characters are nearly as powerful and effective as their S-tier counterparts but are harder to learn.
For instance, Jeff the Land Shark is just as powerful of a healer as Luna Snow, but his ability, “It’s Jeff!” can get annoying as it can swallow both allies and enemies in the vicinity and break immersion.
Likewise, his Healing Bubble ability can be a hit or miss if you don’t time it properly. Overall, A-tier characters can be extremely deadly when you get better at playing them.
All B-tier Marvel Heroes are decent characters that demand proper team synergy to unleash their full potential. We would recommend trying these only if you’re playing with a group of friends.
For instance, Magik can get into the enemy’s face and take them down easily with heavy melee attacks. However, her slow movement can either allow Strategies to make a quick escape or Duelists to strike her down from a distance.
Hence, if you’re playing Magik, it’s best to have someone like Scarlet Witch in the team accompanying you all the time so that she stun enemies and leaves them open to your devastating melee attacks.
Likewise, you can have Luna Snow freeze enemies and then slice them with Magik’s greatsword easily.
All C-tier Marvel Rivals heroes are a bit of a letdown at the moment. Not only are they not powerful enough, but they are quite hard to master.
For instance, Black Widow can deal precision damage like Hawkeye, but they not are as effective and certainly not easy to pull off.
Her ultimate isn’t as powerful either, so for now, you’re better off using and mastering other Duelists in the game.
That sums up our Marvel Rivals tier list.
