(Trends Wide) — Shrek is love, Shrek is life, Shrek is… missing?
Police in Hatfield, Massachusetts, began a search for a 200-pound (90-kilogram) statue of the movie ogre after it was reported missing.
The Hatfield Police Department posted an alert about the stolen ogre on Facebook on Wednesday. In the alert they included a photo of the fluorescent green cement statue, dressed in the iconic Shrek vest.
“If you have any information regarding its current whereabouts, please contact our department or return it in the condition in which you found it,” the department said.
The Hatfield Police Department did not immediately respond to Trends Wide’s request for comment.
And the swamp resident is already missed, according to police.
“The dragon sculpture she lives with is frustrated and lonely,” the department said in the Facebook post.
Shrek, a territorial, anti-social, green ogre, is the main character in the 2001 Dreamworks film. The film, which parodies other fairy tales, has had an enduring legacy, spawning multiple sequels and spin-offs.
