Most people shudder at the thought of being cooped up inside a hotel quarantine for two weeks.
But it seems, Matt Damon’s quarantine experience was far more comfortable than that of the average traveller.
Since arriving in Australia earlier this month, the Hollywood mega-star, 50, and his family has been completing their mandatory isolation inside a sprawling Byron Bay dwelling that can only be described as a modern-day chateau.

Located on the outskirts of Byron Bay, the 7,000-a-night Airbnb boasts a swimming pool, tennis court and four bedrooms.
With the price set at $7,000 per night, it’s likely the star upward of $90,000 on the accommodation alone during his family’s mandatory 14-day quarantine period.
The stunning property also offers panoramic views of the ocean, as well as expertly manicured gardens complete with stone sculptures, hedges and an extravagant fountain.
In stark contrast to the ultra-modern home owned by actor pal Chris Hemsworth, Matt’s Airbnb oozes class elegance thanks to its exposed sandstone walls and French Provincial stylings.

Matt, his wife Luciana Barossa, 45, and their children officially completed their quarantine on Sunday and were released into the Byron Bay community.
The family arrived in Australia via private jet earlier this month and immediately moved into the mansion, where they paid for their own private security, police monitoring, hospital-grade cleaning, staff, meals and regular medical checks.
At the time, Concierge Doctors CEO Dr Zac Turner told the Sydney Morning Herald: ‘The family will be entirely segregated for the period of their quarantine and will participate in standardised testing and monitoring, in full compliance with current NSW Government requirements.’

Dr Turner added that NSW Police would be present to ensure quarantine was enforced.
Meanwhile, Matt previously said that he was looking forward to ‘call Australia home’ ahead of his trip Down Under.
‘I’m so excited that my family and I will be able to call Australia home for the next few months,’ Matt said.

‘Australian film crews are world renowned for their professionalism and are a joy to work with so the 14 days of quarantine will be well worth it,’ he added.
Matt is gearing up to appear in the upcoming Marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder, which is being filmed in Sydney.
Also appearing in the film are fellow Hollywood heavyweights Natalie Portman, Chris Pratt, Christian Bale and Chris Hemsworth.
